Both high blood pressure and high cholesterol put you at an increased risk of a heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases. High blood pressure can cause the heart muscle to enlarge and the heart to weaken. It also damages the blood vessels, especially if you also have high cholesterol or diabetes. High blood pressure can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease by two to four times. The higher the blood pressure, the higher the risk of both coronary heart disease and stroke. On its own, a high cholesterol level is not necessarily a problem, but coupled with one or more other risk factors for heart disease, it is often 'the straw that breaks the camel's back'.

Chronic frequent headaches, cluster headaches, and migraine headaches are painful and diminish your quality of life. Even over the counter medicines such as aspirin have many serious harmful side effects.

Both Effexor (vanlafaxine) and Paxil (paroxetine) are prescribed for hot flashes as alternatives to HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) for controlling menopause symptoms. Effexor and Paxil are SSRIs that were originally developed for depression.Dealing with menopause and hot flashes is best accomplished through a combination of diet, healthy lifestyle and natural medicines. This webmaster is 53 years old, and going through menopause. My doctor tried to prescribe a HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) for me, and I refused it. After researching the most commonly prescribed HRT, there was no way I was going to put something into my body that was derived from pregnant horses' urine. My research also unearthed the treatment of these horses and the dangerous side effects connected to taking a HRT. Recently, the seizure medicine Gabapentin was tested and used to control hot flashes and menopausal symptoms. How ridiculous is that? My sister started her kitchen on fire while taking the prescribed dosage of Gabapentin (for a different health problem).Join me and many others that will not be led like a blind fool into using a HRT, anti-depressant, or seizure drug; and use instead natural remedy products that are 100% safe, and proven, for effective relief of menopause symptoms that don't have dangerous and harmful side effects.

The thyroid is an equally important organ for both men and women, but research shows that women are more likely to suffer with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism than men. The thyroid gland releases hormones that influence many of your bodily functions, such as: physical growth and development, metabolism, puberty, organ function, fertility, and body temperature. The thyroid gland can either produce too much of these hormones (hyperthyroidism) or not enough (hypothyroidism). Even subtle deviations in thyroid hormone levels can put your health at risk. If left untreated, thyroid disorders may have serious consequences – particularly for your heart. Although thyroid disorders can be life-long conditions, most are easy to manage but complications can occur if they are left untreated or if the incorrect treatment is used.
