Parody is one of the sincerest forms of flattery and one of the funniest forms of comedy. Sesame Street took it to an 'art' form on several levels with Monsterpiece Theater. Designed as a play on the PBS classic Masterpiece Theater, it was hosted by Alistair Cookie, his poor grammar and jiggling eyes belying the purported serious elegance. The sketches played off classic works of literature as well as more modern television and movie favorites. And, as always with Sesame Street, there was danger of learning something about numbers, spatial relations and social concepts all while laughing your head off. (Which can make it difficult to store your new knowledge!)

Those words and the cheesy little raincloud with the 'News Flash' graphic signaled yet another report from the intrepid Kermit the Frog on location. From his first appearance (in a tacky plaid coat) in the late 60s, Kermit was never prepared when the camera started rolling and his stories inevitably went awry.

While the Count might have been a one-joke character on Sesame Street, he has managed to play that joke for more than 30 seasons now. From cookies to bats to stars to pigs, nothing escapes his steady numbering. No number too small to bring him joy, no number too big to intimidate him.

My son and I love Elmo. I have brought an Elmo t-shirt for my son and he wants to wear it everyday. In fact, he owned 4 sets of Elmo apparels and it is still not enough. He has got countless Elmo toys, Elmo bowl for eating, board books featuring Elmo, Elmo magnetic games, Elmo flash cards and many many more.

She's the cutest thing to hit Sesame Street since ... well, ever! Abby Cadabby is the newest kid on the Sesame Street block and brings a girly girl perspective to the show. Pink and adorable, she loves to rhyme and finds reading just magical. Her own magic is still in learning mode; things sometimes get turned into pumpkins and she doesn't know how to turn them back! Just can't get enough of her!
