It seems that rock stars have a far greater chance of becoming addicts than normal people. Seems kind of obvious why that would be. They pretty much have millions of dollars floating around them. They have plenty of spare time on their hands while they are out on tour. Most gigs last 2 hours or so and then they go to a motel or sit on a bus. So they spend their time using drugs.
I would like to use a recent book that was written by a Rock Star as sort of a guide in my quest to find out more about rock star s and their drug habits. This book is written by the founding member of Motley Crue. He can play his bass as hard and loud as any other rocker. He can also share some pretty wild tales about his drug days touring with his band Motley Crue!
His name.. Nikki Sixx His book Heroin Diaries. A year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star!

Ozzy Osbourne set the world on fire with his mesmerizing voice and out of this world lyrics. While he was on stage performing his hits like Bark at the Moon, Crazy Train, and Suicide Solution, he was sometimes so drugged that he wasn't even capable of telling between live bats and fake bats! Accidentally biting the head off a real bat while on stage in front of thousands of fans! Ozzy didn't care which drug he was taking, as long as he was the king of the party!
While touring with the Bad boys of Rock n Roll Motley Crue, Ozzy once snorted a line of ants up his nose.

In the late 1970's a new Rock 'n' Roll band hit the scene. They had outrageous Teddy Boy hair styles and was tattooed so prolifically that you couldn't tell where the ink ended and skin started. To be brutally honest they looked more like a bunch of yobos than Rock 'n' Roll stars. But they let their music do the talking and shot to stardom with hit after hit after hit. If you enjoy Rock 'n' Roll or Rockabilly you will definitely like the music of the Stray Cats.

One of my favourite bands of the 1970's was Showaddywaddy. This British band was different from all the other bands of the era by being two bands that had joined into one. This gave the band a unique sound as it had two of each band positions. The style of music they performed was Rock 'n' Roll with a hint of Glam Rock (the main style of music of the era). They dressed in Teddy Boy fashion in loud colours and were probably the most colourful band of the era. The story I heard about the forming of Showaddywaddy was that the bands Choise and The Golden Hammers were double booked at a venue so they played together and was so successful that they formed the band Showaddywaddy. Whether that is true or not doesn't really matter, what matters is the bands went together like a dream and produced the greatest Rockabilly band of the 1970s.

Brothel Creepers are a type of shoe most associated with Rock 'n' Roll music. They were invented in 1949 by George Cox six years before Rock 'n' Roll became popular. But since then they have been adopted by the Rock 'n' Roll / Rockabilly market as their trademark shoe.The most famous of the Brothel Creeper shoes are of course the blue suede ones made famous by Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley.The Brothel Creeper has a two inch rubber sole and usually lace through D-Rings to tie them.
