Leveling guides are great at helping characters level up more quickly and helping them to enjoy the world of Azeroth and Outland much more. However, Joana's Horde guide is only available for Horde players. Alliance players will want to look to the brand new guide released at wowaddicts.com by Glutony, a level 70 dwarf hunter, who recently smashed the previous leveling world record of 149 hours. Glutony wrote down all the steps he took to complete his record setting achievement, and his guide is almost as epic as World of WarCraft itself. At more than six hundred pages, he leaves no page unturned for players, and they can have the most comprehensive leveling guide ever. So regardless of whether you want a Horde guide (Joana's Horde guide) or an Alliance guide (at wowaddicts.com), there is a leveling guide to suit your needs.

Leveling guides certainly help casual players and those who like the single player RPG experience. Some of the harder quests give much better rewards, but they aren't necessary for this crowd of players. Casual players would have much more fun with the game if they know which quests can be completed by single characters or small groups and which quests take larger groups or more serious players with better equipment. While some players might state concerns over taking the entire “exploration” factor out of the RPG experience, it's an empty argument at best. Leveling guides don't ruin the excitement of exploring new lands and meeting new people online from all around the world...

The Team iDemise guide uses a fantastic program called MapMod 2 to fully integrate the guide into World of WarCraft itself. This means that objectives are displayed on screen inside the game, so players won't have to minimize regularly or print the guide out. Not only that, but the guide completely removes the risk of ambiguity in its directions. Players are shown exactly where to go and what objectives to complete, so they won't have to deal with ambiguous directions. Instead of merely reading the guide, they are shown where to go. It's the next best thing to having a player alongside you guiding your character.
