The Girl Next Door image is one of stereotypes. An image that has been placed on wholesome, unassuming or average females. The film of the same name, of course, took this to the extremes. This lens shows pictures of a normal Girl Next Door stereotype. The photographs were taken of her by a professional studio to show that a Normal Girl can look as beautiful as any Movie Star.

The Dukes of Hazzard followed the adventures of The General Lee and its two good ol' boy drivers, Bo and Luke Duke. Together with their cousin Daisy and good old Uncle Jesse they chucked and jived the law in a modern day Robin Hood fashion. Every week Bo and Luke Duke were framed with mock charges dreamt up by the portly Boss Hogg and his incompetant sheriff Rosco P Coltrane. The consequences of which was many extravagant car chases around the fictional county of Hazzard.

J R R Tolkien is seen as being the father of fantasy and to any true fantasy fan Lord of the Rings is required reading. That being said it doesn't necessarily mean it is the best fantasy story out there. The Hobbit was a fast paced story with something new happening in every chapter. After Tolkien wrote the Hobbit he moved into more adventureous territory and made the follow up a trilogy. The follow up was a lot slower than the original and harder to follow. To me Tolkien had left his original format and tried to create a literary epic, he did of course succeed, but no matter how I tried to like Lord of the Rings I never could. The constant singing/poetry in the book was completely unnecessary and did nothing to enhance the story, in fact it detracted from it. The story also has too many wasted plot elements, it is a good story but it definitely ain't God's gift to fantasy like some Lord of the Rings followers seem to think. And what's with the wizard that uses a sword instead of magic and an all powerful ring that all it seems to do is make the wearer invisible?
Lord of the Rings has now become a total product range. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's Dragonlance however was designed as a total product range. Dragonlance was designed as a side product of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. The book trilogy was designed to back up the new Dragonlance role playing game and because of that the group of friends in Dragonlance were on the lines of the Dungeons and Dragons scenarios each having their own traits, their own strengths and weaknesses and from a range of species (human, half-elf, kender and dwarf).

I grew up reading the escapades of Dennis The Menace and Gnasher, a comic strip in the Beano comic in the United Kingdom and as far as I knew he was the ONLY Dennis The Menace.
Years later I saw the film 'Dennis The Menace' starring Walter Matthau and I was wondering why they had changed the character, as far as I remembered Dennis The Menace was a bully and not an over enthusiastic kid that caused mischief by just trying to be over helpful. I was thinking where is Walter (the wimp that Dennis always used to terrorise) and who is this Mr Wilson character?
It was only recently that I discovered that there is two separate Dennis The Menaces, one created is the US and the other created in the UK. The amazing thing is that they debuted within three days of each other. Therefore, this lens is created to show you the differences between each character and to show you the Dennis The Menace that you didn't know about (if that is the case).

The Farseer Trilogy is Robin Hobb's first outing into the world of fantasy novels, a genre so complex that stories usually come in the minimum of trilogies and not single book novels.
The Farseer Trilogy follows the story of FitzChivalry Farseer and is wrote from his perspective. Fitz is trained as an assassin but not the type of assassin that you would imagine. He is not the best sword fighter or even the best brawler and he possesses a magic that is not what people would expect in fantasy stories.
If you are expecting a Lord of the Rings type story you would be disappointed until you emerged yourself in Robin Hobb's masterful storytelling. There is no elves or dwarves or even goblins and the magic is not from fireball throwing wizards. I don't want to spoil the story by giving it all away, all I can say is if you enjoy fantasy novels this is a must read and a welcome diversion from mainstream fantasy.
The Farseer Trilogy is the first of three trilogies set in The Realm of the Elderlings, the second being The Liveship Traders Trilogy with the latest being The Tawny Man Trilogy.

I have always been fascinated with Model Railways but unfortunately I have never had the space to make my own.
Model Railway building is a hobby that can engulf a lifetime if done right. Building a layout can take years if done correctly, its not just as simple as buying a train set and putting the track together as there are many other things to consider like landscaping and proper track layout.
I have created this video showcase to show you the reader how good model railways can look when they are finished. Enjoy.

Gamespot has only ever rated six games a perfect 10/10 score, two of these have been released within two months of each other. One being Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and the other being Grand Theft Auto IV. These games have quite a few things in common with the main being that you kill lots of people in the game. One of the other things I'd like to say these games have in common is that they are both forth in the series. But if I said that I would be wrong as Grand Theft Auto IV is the ninth in its series and Metal Gear Solid 4 is the fifth in the Metal Gear Solid series and seventh in the Metal Gear series.

Dragonlance was created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman as a set of gaming modules for the hugely successful Dungeons and Dragons role playing game in the early 1980s.The world of Dragonlance was the first fictional world to be professionally produced as a role-playing game world with product tie-ins (novels, role-playing modules, figurines, etc.).Since its conception there has been over 190 novels set in the world of Dragonlance. Now over 20 years after its birth they have announced the first Dragonlance movie set for release in September of 2007.Unfortunately the film is not live action but animated (lets hope they do a good job on it) and will be released straight to DVD.

Brothel Creepers are a type of shoe most associated with Rock 'n' Roll music. They were invented in 1949 by George Cox six years before Rock 'n' Roll became popular. But since then they have been adopted by the Rock 'n' Roll / Rockabilly market as their trademark shoe. The most famous of the Brothel Creeper shoes are of course the blue suede ones made famous by Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. The Brothel Creeper has a two inch rubber sole and usually lace through D-Rings to tie them. Read on to see what Wikipedia has to say about Brothel Creepers.

In the late 1970's a new Rock 'n' Roll band hit the scene. They had outrageous Teddy Boy hair styles and was tattooed so prolifically that you couldn't tell where the ink ended and skin started. To be brutally honest they looked more like a bunch of yobos than Rock 'n' Roll stars. But they let their music do the talking and shot to stardom with hit after hit after hit. If you enjoy Rock 'n' Roll or Rockabilly you will definitely like the music of the Stray Cats.

Shakin Stevens was my favourite artist when I was younger, but unlike many other artists he wasn't an overnight success. Shakin Stevens paid his dues in the music industry for 10 years before he had his first hit single.Shakin Stevens started out in the group 'Shakin Stevens and The Sunsets' who first went professional in 1969, they released 13 singles but none of them made it big. Shakin Stevens and The Sunsets parted company in 1977.After breaking up from The Sunsets Shakin Stevens went on to produce solo records. He also appeared in a Jack Good West End Musical which was revamped into a television show called 'Oh Boy', this was the turning point in Shakin Stevens long struggle for success. His second single "Somebody Touched Me" made it into the top 40 in Australia but it wasn't until his 8th solo release that he started to make it big. His eighth single was "Hot Dog" which had of course been featured in 'Oh Boy' and the rest we say is history.Shakin Stevens had 39 hit singles, 36 of which were consecutive, and in the UK alone achieved four Number 1s and three Number 2s.

I was first introduced to computer role playing games back in the days of the ZX Spectrum and ever since they have been my favourite kind of games. They are games where every time you play you don't have to start again from the begining but continue from where you left off. You gain an attachment to your character(s) as you build it and advance through the levels.
Computer role playing games have advanced in leaps and bounds (as has everything else) and now instead of playing these games by yourself you can now play them online and make many many online friends. These games are now known as MMORPGs - Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game - and now come in all sorts of different forms. They are no longer limited to player vs computer generated monster and the genre has spread out. The style of MMORPG out there include the traditional style, golf, car racing, adult themes and complete online experiences.
On this lens I will show you trailers to some of the different MMORPGs out there with links to the official game sites and leave you the reader to make your own choice on which you would like to try.

One of my pet peeves at the moment is all the stuff that is offered FREE whether it is on the Internet or not. Filtering through all this stuff to find out what is really free and what isn't can be a nightmare.Buy One get One FREE! - This is a really good one, how can one of them be free if you have to lay out cash to get it?Sign up and get 1000 free website visits for FREE - This is an offer that loads of the Traffic Exchanges give. Sounds good don't it? So you sign up and there is no free credit like it promised you, so off you go to read the FAQ. Upon finding the answer you discover that you have to surf so many websites before you can get your free hits. Hmmm, working for free stuff, who are they kidding?FREE to me means that there is no hidden charges, no having to work for it and definitely not having to purchase something to get them.Of course there is plenty of stuff that is free as offering free stuff is such a great marketting ploy. Give someone something for free and most of the time you will get something back, but giving something and expecting something back in return makes it no longer free. To help prove my point below is two definitions of the word FREE provided without, or not subject to, a charge or paymentgiven without consideration of a return or reward

Christmas is a time of giving, a time of loving and time for great music. Nearly every band and solo artist worth their salt has created or been part of a great Christmas song. Many artists have made their own Christmas albums, great artists like Elvis Presley and Reba McEntire, in fact Christmas albums are very big in the country music community.
In this lens I will show you some of the best Christmas songs ever and also some great Christmas songs by some great artists.
I hope you enjoy this lens and have a very Merry Christmas.

Eisenhower is President. Rock n' Roll is king. And Wade 'Cry-Baby' Walker (Johnny Depp) is the baddest hood in his high school.
Johnny Depp heads up a supercool cast as the irresistable bad boy whose amazing ability to shed one single tear drives all the girls wild - especially Allison Vernon-Williams (Amy Locane), a rich, beautiful 'square' who finds herself uncontrollably drawn to the dreamy juvenille delinquent and his forbidden world of rockabilly music, fast cars and faster women.
It's the hysterical high-throttle world of 1954 in director John Water's outrageous musical comedy.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) storylines can be good, funny or over the top. Some of the storylines go on too long and become ridiculous. Vince MacMahon just doesn't know when to stop and plays some of the storylines way too long and even sometimes goes morally too far. What has the human race degenerated to to find some of these storylines even mildly entertaining?

Recently I bought an Epson R340 printer to print CDs and Photos. After printing out nearly 200 CDs the printer stopped wanting to print them by jamming the CD tray. After a bit of investigation I found out that these printers do have problems with their print trays and that the print trays only work for about 150 CDs before you start having problems with them. The print rollers get dirty and the guides on the tray get stained and less clear. After reading up on this you have three options, those being:Update your printer drivers (doesn't always work but its worth a try)Clean your printer rollers and the CD trayif all else fails replace the CD tray

One of my favourite bands of the 1970's was Showaddywaddy. This British band was different from all the other bands of the era by being two bands that had joined into one. This gave the band a unique sound as it had two of each band positions. The style of music they performed was Rock 'n' Roll with a hint of Glam Rock (the main style of music of the era). They dressed in Teddy Boy fashion in loud colours and were probably the most colourful band of the era. The story I heard about the forming of Showaddywaddy was that the bands Choise and The Golden Hammers were double booked at a venue so they played together and was so successful that they formed the band Showaddywaddy. Whether that is true or not doesn't really matter, what matters is the bands went together like a dream and produced the greatest Rockabilly band of the 1970s.

I know there is a lot of free e-mail services out there but a lot of them are severely limited and crap. Also as a webmaster you prefer your own personalised email address with your own domain name in it. Most domains come with free email boxes but they have you paying for the smtp service.Basically, if you are confused in what POP3 and SMTP are, as an internet user the explanation is simple. POP3 is what receives your email and SMTP is what sends your email.

This is a continuation lens to the Miss Rose 2007 Beauty Pageant lens and was held in the North American version of R.O.S.E..Because of my last lens I was invited to be the Official Reporter for the Miss Rose 2007 Beauty Pageant. I would like to thank HerselfTheElf for this invitation and I hope I can do a good job of this. The Pageant was held on 26 May 2007 at 10am PST. I got the invite at approximately 5:30am PST and this is where my panic started. Could I do the job? Am I up to the challenge? Well only time will tell.So I msged HerselfTheElf back and said that i would do it. After posting it it dawned on me that 10am PST was 6pm BST the precise time I had to pick the wife up from work. So after nearly an hour of ringing around my relatives to try find and find someone to pick my wife up I was back on track.I grabbed myself some food and sat down to chill, while eating I heard a beeping coming from the computer and lo and behold but my modem had crashed and wouldn't connect to the internet. So I telephone my service provider and they say that there is a fault in my area and it wont be fixed till 7:35pm BST. Typical, I thought. After all that aggro I wouldnt be able to attend and couldn't even contact anyone to tell them I couldnt make it.Luckily my Internet came back on at 5:20pm BST and I flew to the meeting place and everything went smoothly. So lets get into the action...
