My daughter attended our local Montessori school for 3 years. I could not recommend this from of education strongly enough. Before she attended I really didn’t think it would be as amazing as it has turned out to be. The children who attend Montessori are extremely well behaved, respectful, and are very conscious of solving conflicts peacefully. They grow to be so independent and really learn so much more than you’d ever expect preschool children to know. I began this lens last year, during the 100th Anniversary of Montessori Education. I made it to briefly explain what goes on in a Montessori classroom.

I'm an only child with an only child of my own by choice. When I close my eyes and imagine the perfect family size this is it.When I was in college I started a yahoo club (they were clubs back then) for onlies. That's been abandoned for a while but I am now co-host of the Parents of onlies board at BabyCenter. I'm always on the search for only child related information and I love being able to help parents, who have an only not by choice, see all the benefits of having an only even though they were hoping for more.

Disney World is one of my favorite places for a family vacation. When I was growing up my parents and I would go just about every other year. I was 2 on my first visit and just got back from my 13th trip. :) Now I get to go with my own daughter and husband. I'm a big fan of Disney, but not of spending a fortune to go. I think we do a pretty good job of planning- cutting back on most things and splurging on a few. On this lens I'll share what we do traveling as a family to Walt Disney World on a budget.

I have been interested in sign language my whole life. I am far from fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), but I have always known the basics. When I was pregnant with my daughter I looked at research discussing the benefit of teaching sign language to infants. I'm not a fan of baby signs, only of using ASL with babies. There is a difference, ASL is a language that you and your child can use your whole life. Baby signs are made up gestures that your child will soon outgrow. I think parents, caregivers and educators should all learn a bit of sign and teach the young people in their life.

I started carving pumpkins by myself when I was in middle school. I remember taking my time to get it just right and being so proud of my work. In 8th grade I entered a Jack-o-lantern contest at school and won! One of my teachers liked it so much he asked to bring it home. It was a carving of a cat's face. It took a while to complete but with a pattern and the right tools it wasn't all that hard to make. I let him take it and then I made another one for my house. :)The pumpkin in the intro photo is a unicorn carving. My daughter was dressing up as a unicorn for Halloween and wanted our pumpkin to match. I guess it's a cross between a pegasus and a unicorn, since it has wings. ;) Hopefully this lens will give you ideas for this Halloween. I'll be adding tips, tools and patterns to help you carve your Jack-o-lantern.

I'm sure you've heard of Hannah Montana by now. She is the newest idol of young girls in the United States and around the world. If, for some reason, you aren't familiar with her, Hannah is a character played by the talented Miley Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus. She is a teen pop star who lives a double life as Miley Stewart, the regular girl next door, and Hannah Montana, the entertainer who comes out of her shell on stage. The show is a staple of the Disney Channel and can be seen 7 days a week at various times. Hannah also makes guest appearances on several other Disney Channel shows. Find out where she will be making appearances, pick up her latest Cds, get ideas for a HM themed Birthday Party, and learn a little about the show and Miley Cyrus herself.

Kit is one of the Historical Characters from American Girl. The doll of 1934. I was very excited when my daughter chose this doll because my grandmother grew up during the 1930s and I would be able to get a sense of what it was like for her as a child while reading Kit’s stories. It makes it even more interesting for me. Margaret Mildred Kittredge is a little girl living in Cincinnati, Ohio in the early 1930s. She goes by the name Kitt, which while also short for Kittredge really came from a song that her father used to sing to her. Her story, told through a series of six books, begins in the Summer of 1932 when she was 9 years old. This was three years into the Great Depression when unemployment was at it’s peak. Kit’s father looses his job and she does all she can to help the family. The series continues through 1933 when Kit celebrates her 10th birthday and ends in the Winter of 1934. Kit debuted in 2000 as the seventh historical doll in the American Girl collection. She, like all of these dolls is 18” tall and was the first doll in the series to have short hair and freckles. The shorter hair makes this a perfect doll to start a young child with since it’s easier to take care of. She comes dressed in a lilac sweater set and floral linen skirt, with white sandals and a green barette.

The Indigo Girls are Emily Saliers and Amy Ray. They are singers, songwriters, musicians, and political activists. They are extremely intelligent women who have worked hard for causes such as gay rights, the rights of Native Americans, and the environment. They have a very large fan base who have been following them since the 80s even though they have never gotten much air play on popular radio stations or on television. Their music and lyrics are the reason they have been my favorite band since I was 17 years old.

Have you heard of Moola.com? It’s an online game site where each new member is given $0.01 to start playing. With each game you play you can double your money. Once cent becomes two cents, two becomes four, four becomes eight and so on. In theory, if you play and win 27 games in a row you would earn over one million dollars. $1,342,177.28 to be exact. If you reached the top of the Moola tower you could win over 10 million dollars. You can cash out any time once you reach the $10 minimum balance. If you cash out all of your earnings, or loose all of your earnings while playing you can always start again with one cent and work your way back up the tower.

I really believe in the Jim Rohn quote, "Formal education will make you a living; but self-education will make you a fortune."
I created this lens to explain how Success University offers the opportunity to do both online from anywhere in the world.
This lens emphasizes how Success University's two unique products are valuable individually or in combination.
It also explains how personal development has everything to do with your financial success no matter what business you're in.

Show your gratitude for what you have
We live in a society where we are conditioned to always be striving for more; for bigger and better things. When do we ever arrive at a happy place? Hopefully, by reading this lens; you will start to recognize the things in your life that you do have and are able to enjoy. I think, it is important to take the time to acknowledge the things in our lives that bring us joy. Also, there is a saying that whatever you think about expands. My theory is that by focusing on the things that we are grateful for on a regular basis; is that we attract more things to be grateful for.

Is a very good module to draw attention to something; what, I am not sure. That is why I made this lens. I'm asking for your participation and suggestions in what to do with a black box to liven up a lens and make it come to life. Please, help me... I need to know, I must know. I have to know.
