My over all goal is to be off grid 100% over the next three years. This lens is for some of the best homesteading resources on the net.Learning to maximize everything on your homestead is very important to success. It is fun to be a frugal homesteader and you are also helping the environment by recycling everything possible. A prosperous homestead will be both financially and environmentally sound. I would not call myself a survivalist but rather I do not like to depend on others for my basic survival needs. We all have gone through economic ups and downs, my goal is to provide my basic, food, water, shelter and income via my Homestead. Now do not get me wrong, I will maximize every advantage which is both available and affordable.
The Food for Everyone Foundation is a Non-Profit entity that travels around the world teaching people in impoverished areas how to grow gardens which will yield five to ten times more than traditional gardening methods. Perhaps the most beneficial aspect of this organic gardening method is that it allows a family to feed themselves and earn a highly important income. This income is many times reinvested into a larger garden the following years. This continuous cycle of reinvestment is one of the things the Foundation is most proud of.
Our Goal is to live off the land and produce income using the Food for Everyone Foundation method of Grow-Box and Grow-Bed gardening. Gardens using the Foundation method grow five to ten times the yield of traditional gardens. In addition to producing these increased yields, the Mittleider method also uses half the water uses NO pesticides OR animal waste and about sixty percent of the space of traditional gardens. These Five factors make the Foundation method ideal for both home and commercial farming of vegetables, herbs, berries, and roots. My personal goal is to grow all the produce I eat and also provide highly desirable produce to nearby restaurants.
