When you're ready to retire your Crocs, consider donating them back to the company for the Soles United program. Crocs takes the old shoes, grinds them up and uses the material to make a new pair of shoes which are distributed for free around the world to people in need.

Ok, your first exposure to Ben Stein was likely in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but there's much more to this many than the droll, monotone you heard there. Stein's an economist, policy wonk, cartoon character(s), game show regular, all-around braniac and not afraid to curse on air. All the important stuff, ya' know.

Parody is one of the sincerest forms of flattery and one of the funniest forms of comedy. Sesame Street took it to an 'art' form on several levels with Monsterpiece Theater. Designed as a play on the PBS classic Masterpiece Theater, it was hosted by Alistair Cookie, his poor grammar and jiggling eyes belying the purported serious elegance. The sketches played off classic works of literature as well as more modern television and movie favorites. And, as always with Sesame Street, there was danger of learning something about numbers, spatial relations and social concepts all while laughing your head off. (Which can make it difficult to store your new knowledge!)

Don't let the Miss Malaysia title or the tiny figure fool you. This beauty has the chops to knock anyone down to size. She's been a star in Asia for years, but first broke into the American consciousness in her turn as Chinese agent Wan Li in the James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies.
Yeoh has kicked alongside the martial arts greats - Jet Li, Chow Yun-Fat and of course, Jackie Chan. They've all had to learn to share the stage with a strong woman who can give as good as they can.
She has a softer side, though, as seen in Crouching Tiger, Memoirs of a Geisha and the upcoming film, The Children of Huang Shi. But there's still no competition for her as one of the greatest female action stars ever.

Welcome to Gumm Street in the town of Sherbet. A quiet street in a perfect little town where three little girls live. You'd expect they'd be best of friends, but ... no. These little girls greatly dislike each other and that doesn't seem likely to change until a new family moves to Gumm Street and changes their lives forever.
For seven years, bad luck has followed Ivy around like a dog on a leash. Her father disappeared, her mother is a washed-up beauty-pageant winner, and now Ivy and her mother have moved into a ramshackle house on Gumm Street. Ivy's new neighbors - bookish Pru, stuck-up Cat, and wannabe adventurer Franny - are worse than unfriendly. But then a mysterious pair of ruby red slippers turn up, and the four girls are swept away ... not to OZ, but to the jaw-droppingly strange lands of SPOZ, and SPUDZ, and OOZE, pursued by the fashionably mad Cha-Cha Staccato, who bears a frightening resemblance to a certain wicked witch ....
Join us on Gumm Street as the girls begin their adventure one summer, the summer Ivy and her mother move to town, the weather in Sherbet goes wonky and the Jinx doesn't leave.

While the Count might have been a one-joke character on Sesame Street, he has managed to play that joke for more than 30 seasons now. From cookies to bats to stars to pigs, nothing escapes his steady numbering. No number too small to bring him joy, no number too big to intimidate him.

She's the cutest thing to hit Sesame Street since ... well, ever! Abby Cadabby is the newest kid on the Sesame Street block and brings a girly girl perspective to the show. Pink and adorable, she loves to rhyme and finds reading just magical. Her own magic is still in learning mode; things sometimes get turned into pumpkins and she doesn't know how to turn them back! Just can't get enough of her!

In the story of Inkheart, there is a story within a story: Mo originally brought four of Inkheart's characters to life while reading aloud from a novel which is also called Inkheart - Basta, Capricorn, Dustfinger, and Dustfinger's pet marten, Gwin. Dustfinger, a fire eater, desperately wants to return to the world of the fictional novel; Capricorn, the villain of both the 'real' and 'imaginary' stories, wants Mo (and later, Meggie, who shares her father's unusual gift) to summon an evil monster forged from the ashes of the murdered known as the Shadow, from the fictional novel; and Basta is Capricorn's right-hand man who loves his knife.

Those words and the cheesy little raincloud with the 'News Flash' graphic signaled yet another report from the intrepid Kermit the Frog on location. Kermit valiantly interviewed a parade of characters from history, fairy tales and nursery rhymes. From his first appearance (in a tacky plaid coat) in the late 60s, Kermit was never prepared when the camera started rolling and his stories inevitably went awry.

Is it true? Could they really be making a comeback? If you're a 30-something female like me, you're probably one of the millions who swooned over the "Kids" back in the late 80's and early 90's. I still have all my posters, books, cd's pillow cases, t-shirts, VHS tapes, concert ticket stubs, and yes - both sets of NKOTB dolls. Did anyone besides me actually watch the New Kids on the Block cartoon every Saturday morning?? I had the biggest crush on Jon! He definitely had "The Right Stuff". Yeah I know..cheesy. I'm feeling like a teeny all over again just thinking about them.
