The day before Christmas Eve of 2006, my fawn male APBT, was stolen from a friend of a friend's house. I was devastated. For 6 months, I cried myself to sleep in pain. He was my son. Not a dog. A child...Because I've moved back with my parents since then, it was up to them as to whether I could bring another dog home, as I already had one and they have 3. So, around June of 2007, I started asking. I got my customary "No."

2. Dalmatians
When I was in the fourth grade, my grandmother decided it was time to get another dog. My aunt's coworker just had a littler of dalmatian puppies. So, my mother went with her. Now, I already had a male mix breed dog, at the time; he was, not neutered, so bringing home a female dog was out of the question. But, anyway, my mother went with my grandmother, not expecting that there was only two pups left- two males. One looked like the father- a broad built dalmatian with a thicker coat, and the other looked like the mother- a standard thin built dalmatian with a thinner coat. Well, my grandmother chose the thicker built puppy, loaded with spots, even at a young age. My mother broke down and brought home the thinner, solid white puppy.We went through name after name, until my father spurt out 'Zabu.' To this day, no one knows where he came up with it, not even him. But it stuck, and after a few weeks of getting it wrong, we eventually starting saying it right. Zabu is the typical dalmatian, high energy and high strung. But as sweet as he can be.

When you get a piercing, it is nothing more than a foreign object through your skin. Many times, your body will treat the jewelry like a splinter and try to push it out. As surface piercings are so sensitive, once healed, if you bump it several years down the road, you can invite the migration and rejection process. You do not want to even start this process, as it is very hard to stop, and if you do not remove the jewelry before it is too late, you will be left with very ugly scars.

Bearded dragons are omnivorous, eating both fruits and vegetables as well as insects. When feeding a bearded dragon you need to make sure that you can provide both a feeder insect as well as fruits and vegetables. One without the other, means an unhealthy lizard.
Age should always be taken into consideration when feeding a bearded dragon. Baby and juvenile beardies need to have more proteins in the diet to supplement for growing bones and tissues, but they should still be provided with veggies. An adult bearded dragon diet should consist of mostly fruits and veggies.
Baby bearded dragons should be given as many feeder insects as he will eat within 15 minutes, all uneaten insects should be removed. This should be done every other day. But, you're not getting away with just feeder insects when raising a bearded dragon. You should still provide him with fruits and vegetables DAILY, even if he doesn't eat them. Having the vegetation in the tank with him, will get him used to seeing it, so when he is older he will be more likely to eat the veggies on his own.
Adults can be given feeder insects twice a week, and again, never leave uneaten insects in the tank. So, after about fifteen minutes, remove the uneaten insects. As for fresh fruits and vegetables, provide them daily.
