I have only recently discovered Trollbeads, a unique and fascinating jewelry company based out of Denmark. You may have heard of some of Trollbeads' competitors, there have been several, but Trollbeads is the original and the innovator, both in products and company culture.
Trollbeads started in 1976, through the creativity and innovation of the Nielsen family, and it is truly a family business, with much of the business development coming from various family members.

I work downtown within a block's distance from the Cavaliers stadium-the Quicken Loans arena--or the "Q" as we all call it here in downtown Cleveland. Every day or night that the Cavs play at home, there are lots of fans walking around in Cavaliers gear in my store, Lake Erie Artists Gallery, and inside the mall in Tower City where I work.
It is certainly easy to get caught up in the thrill of it all, and speaking as a native Clevelander, it is so exciting to have a winning team.

Since the time I was about 17 years old, I have been living with Dysthymia, which is chronic low grade depression. I was diagnosed with this condition in high school, but at that time, there was no treatment for dysthymia other than counseling. Because dysthymia is caused by a chemical inbalance in the brain, it is a real physical problem, yet back then the only drugs available were not suitable for treating dysthymia.
Counseling did not really help me, because working through issues I had was not what was wrong with me. It was difficult to deal with the lack of energy or motivation that I had on a continuous basis. I often found myself going into repeating cycles of success, then failure which caused more depression. I seemed to be able to behave normally for a time, then the depression would set in and I wouldn't be able to get out of bed to make appointments, get to work, or go back to a regular sleep cycle.

I am an avid fan of Precious Metal Clay, also called PMC, a non-toxic material made by Mitsubishi Corporation. PMC is made of metal particles bound together in an organic binder which acts mostly like ceramic clay in its green state.
